1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, registering for a festival pass, scanning tickets, or administering a college fest workspace on FestRelay, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the platform on behalf of a college student council, department committee, or academic institution, you represent that you possess the requisite authority to bind that entity.

2. Platform Role & Technology Facilitation

FestRelay is an enterprise campus software platform that enables educational institutions to organize, manage, and verify collegiate festivals, technical symposia, and academic competitions.

FestRelay operates strictly as a technology facilitator. The actual host institution or collegiate organizing committee determines ticket pricing, capacity thresholds, event rules, judging rubrics, and eligibility criteria.

3. Dynamic QR Passes & Anti-Passback Rules

All festival passes issued through FestRelay are governed by strict campus integrity protocols:

• Personal & Non-Transferable:Passes are tied to the verified student attendee's credentials and institutional roll number unless transferability is explicitly permitted by the host college.
• Anti-Passback Enforcement: A pass invalidated or checked in at a campus entrance cannot be re-used by another individual. Screenshot sharing, duplication, or spoofing of dynamic QR codes is strictly prohibited.
• Right of Admission: Campus security, faculty conveners, and host institutions reserve the right to verify college student IDs at physical entry gates.

4. Financial Settlements & Refund Policy

Because FestRelay does not pool funds in an intermediary escrow account, refund requests, cancellations, and disputes are governed by the specific refund policy established by the host institution. In the event of event postponement or cancellation, attendees must seek refunds directly from the host college's finance committee.

5. Code of Conduct for Campus Organizers & Attendees

Users agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass gate scanner validation nodes or inject fraudulent check-in records.
• Submit falsified collegiate credentials, fraudulent roll numbers, or altered ID documents.
• Interfere with live hackathon scoring, manipulate judge evaluation rubrics, or alter leaderboard tallies.
• Distribute malicious payloads or attempt denial-of-service disruptions against campus scanner nodes.

6. Verifiable Certificates & Accreditation Records

Digital certificates issued through FestRelay contain cryptographic validation identifiers. Falsifying or modifying certificates generated through the platform constitutes intellectual property infringement and academic misconduct. Institutional dossier exports are generated based on data logged by authorized conveners.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, FestRelay shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from event cancellations by institutions, local weather interruptions, power outages during campus pro-nights, or decisions made by host colleges regarding attendee admission.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
