FestRelay Technologies ("FestRelay", "we", "our", or "us") operates the campus festival operations, ticketing, gate verification, and event management platform. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to protecting the privacy of student attendees, faculty conveners, event judges, and college administrative personnel.

We strictly adhere to the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), 2023, and applicable Reserve Bank of India (RBI) payment directives.

2. Information We Collect

When you register for or participate in a college event through FestRelay, we collect only information strictly necessary for festival administration:

• Student & Attendee Details: Full name, institutional email address, mobile number, college/university name, department, and student roll number / registration number.
• Event Participation Data: Events registered, workshops attended, hackathon submission links, team member rosters, and prize/award records.
• Gate Check-In & Verification Logs: Cryptographic dynamic pass validation timestamps, entry gate identifiers, and scanner volunteer IDs used solely for anti-passback and crowd capacity management.

3. Direct Settlement & Payment Information

Zero Escrow / Zero Card Storage:FestRelay connects directly to the host institution's verified payment gateway (e.g., Razorpay, Cashfree, or BillDesk). FestRelay never collects, handles, or stores debit/credit card numbers, UPI PINs, or net banking passwords.

All festival registration fees and pass purchases deposit directly into the college's designated institutional bank account. Transaction records contain only standard bank transaction reference numbers for accounting reconciliation.

4. Anti-Passback & Dynamic QR Technology

To eliminate ticket forgery and screenshot resale, FestRelay issues cryptographic dynamic QR codes that refresh at periodic intervals. When scanned at a campus gate, the validation code is marked redeemed in real-time. Offline scanner nodes synchronize verification logs securely once network connectivity is re-established.

5. Institutional Archiving & NAAC / NBA Compliance

Under statutory guidelines established by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Criterion 5.3 (Student Participation and Activities) and NBA (National Board of Accreditation), colleges are required to maintain verifiable event participation records.

FestRelay archives event rosters, certificates of participation, and faculty verification logs for the institution's accreditation audit cycle. Student records are accessible solely to designated institutional conveners and IQAC directors.

6. Zero Third-Party Advertising & Data Selling

We maintain an absolute zero-monetization policy on student personal data. FestRelay has never sold, rented, or traded student personal information, phone numbers, or emails to third-party ad networks, marketing agencies, or data brokers.

7. Security Standards

All data transmission is secured using TLS 1.3 encryption. At-rest databases employ AES-256 encryption with strictly segregated role-based access controls (RBAC) separating student committees, faculty conveners, and institutional super-administrators.
